2026 Charity tops #181-190
Another ten tops. All stored at the church building.
One time recently I was telling my mom that I took some tops to the church. She asked, “What do they do with the tops?”
I stopped and almost laughed. I said, “Oh Mom, “they” don’t do anything with the tops as I am just storing them as there are simply too many for me to keep in my house. They can stay quietly at the church building in my storage room until I’m ready to quilt them and then I’ll bring them back as I prepare them.”
She then understood.
Here are the next ten I worked on until they were ready to go to the church building.
I will add that if I get a top and I see a mistake, I will not automatically fix it.
The whole block was put in backwards meaning the seam allowances were on the front of the quilt top!
It has to be REALLY bad. Let me show you one. I was presssing it after I had added borders to the ends and I was so surprised. I threw it to the side and said, “Now that’s a mistake I MUST fix.”
Let me show you. Here it is after I had started taking it out. I had to switch the block around. I couldn’t leave that one. I’m assuming you can see the problem. In case you can’t, I’ll put it below the picture.
I really like taking these to the church on Sundays because the young men will help me take them up the winding staircase and put them in the room where I need to store them. I can then put them in the storage area myself how I want them….they just do the heavy carrying.
Once again, I’m so glad I took the time to clean up the room up there. This makes storing things possible.
Once again, let me show you the reason I do these. I’ll try to find some more older photos of our give aways.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
