2026 Charity Quilt Tops - #241-250!
Oh my, yes. It’s a lot this year. Here are the next ten tops that are on the piles to get finished as charity quilts. I’m thinking I could easily have this be over 300, but at this point, I’m grateful to see this many finished!
I’ve learned if I can manage to use my time better, I can get more done instead of lazing my days away! :) LOL
Actually I do get frustrated with myself. But then I try to have grace and allow myself to not be “on” all day every day.
With this particular group there is a little story. I was working on cleaning up my fabric storage room - as it had become a dump spot and completely unorganized. I knew I had cleared off a lot of shelves and needed to put fabric back on shelves and pick up things off the floor. In that process, I came across strips of squares that had been sewn together for literally years. They were supposed to be a charity top or two. I decided to make singles out of them and managed to get several.
Do I particularly like them? No. I’m not enthralled with them, but they are finished as tops now and I can move them out of a misc. pile and get them on to their next step of this journey to becoming a quilt and be able to help out someone.
So there’s that.
Here are the next 10 tops!
I am moving most of these right into the tops that I’ve been putting into the long arm room, ready to tackle when I get started again. I have been matching them up to something that will look nice on the back.
I do feel pretty good about adding some of these farm panels. I realized as I’ve been matching up quilt tops for my next batch, I had only a couple of tops I consider children’s tops - so I’m focused on finding some more that will be good for kids. I whipped those tops out quickly as they are just pieces of fabrics that are ripped to the size needed and then I added strips to the top and bottom and added the other borders. That fabric was printed along the opposite direction of most of my fabrics.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
