Remember this quilt?

When I made it, I had a lot of cut off triangles. I had saved them ALL and earlier this year put together this top - but it was way too small for anything at all! Just way too small! People here don’t understand baby quilts that much and it feels way too adult for a baby anyway.

Besides this set, I also had some HST I had sewn together into strips. You will see them in the top.

I had pulled fabrics but nothing was coming to me. I just put it all away and started on the Stephanie Slewinski series and didn’t think about it again.

I came across the stack of fabrics I had kept together and the top - all at the same time. Time to get this one finished up as far as I was going to do.

So I did.

Here is what I ended up with. It’s only aboug 59”x64”. It isn’t big enough to be a charity quilt so I’ll probably just keep it myself as part of my extended Lori Holt series. It is very “loosely” in that series.

I had only one strip of that background blue for 2.5” and I was grateful I had found it - as otherwise, I didn’t have any more of that turquoise. Whatever color it is. It’s in the blue family.

I ended up not adding another color in it - as I had considered adding yellow or a red. I left it all out and just stuck to the red and red/whites.

I told my husband I should call it “Eclectic” because it has the stark geometric shapes and also the beautiful border print which is flowy and just gorgeous.

I also put those triangles what feels like to me “upside down”. That’s just how they feel to me. To me it seems like it is more normal to put them with a flat side down. But the prints on these were such that I needed to put it this way (at least on one of the blocks).

So, while it’s nothing extraordinary,

I do like it, and will find it fun to have. The prints are mostly snow and snowflakes and Lori Holt, so I will put this one out in the winter.
