Progress on my BIG scrappy Tulip pattern
Remember my telling you about this one? I’ve been working on this one in between other things.
I did the yellow, pink and lavender sections and then let them sit a few days.
Then I started working on the middle cream sections. I did just open my seams for pressing. It was the only way I could think to do it.
Remember these are all pixelated because I wanted to use up my 2.5” strips. Plus it does make for some interesting looks.
After working on it, this is where I am now. I did decided to add some more little things - so maybe you can find the ladybugs.
I’m adding a couple of ladybugs to the leaves on the tulips and will throw a couple more humorously on the top. I’m not there yet however.
I’ve just got the leaves left now. the outer borders will be a bit slow, so I’ll just keep working on this top and eventually get this one finished.
Here is my updated plan.
I may add a couple more ladybugs - but still thinking about this. I was even thinking about on the outside of the curved border. :)
So that’s where I am on this one. I’m not trying to work on this constantly - but rather, just once in a while.
When I get closer to the end - for example, working on the outer pieced border, I may push everything else to the side and work on it exclusively. That’s just how I work.
This top as drawn should finish at 60”x72”.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
