As I was working through these fabrics, i am starting to feel a real sense of satisfaction. I’ve cut pretty much all the fabric up except for a very little bit.

I decided to use some of the last for making some large 20” throw pillows. After all, I’m going to have 12 quilts with this fabric - so 4 pillows doesn’t seem unreasonable. I thought of it because I had accidentally made an extra churn dash block. I think I had temporarily lost it so I ended up making another block and THEN i found the original one.

I saved it along with some other little things. The bigger pieces of that floral were just too beautiful to cut into small pieces.

The first one I did was that beautiful cream with floral fabric - I had some smaller cut up pieces so I just cut them all into 2.5” squares and made a checkerboard out of it.

I had the coordinating rust fabric in my stash. It isn’t official coordinating fabric. Remember, I’m making these at the tail end of the series.

The second pillow involved just a plain piece of cream floral fabric which wasn’t quite large enough for the 20” pillow forms I bought, so I added some fabric to the edges and then trimmed to 20.5”.

The most stunning one is the one with churn dash block, IMO. I absolutely love it.

Obviously there are two sides to each of these pillows, so I’ll show you a little video with both sides of the pillows.

I also dug the strings back out of the trash - changed my mind about not using them— and wanted to use at least some of them - and made this pillow front using one of the late Donna Jordan’s videos as my how-to.

I also have some extra little centers of one of the blocks, and will probabably make ONE more pillow with those as the center as I, once again, had misplaced them, so I made more, thinking I had miscounted, and then found them after I had finished all 66 blocks I needed. So I’ll make them into a pillow top once again.

However, even if finish the top before this blog post goes live, I don’t have any more pillow forms, so I’ll have to order more. But I can show you what I’m talking about.

In case you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about with regards to the quilts - I’m referring to this series of quilts. So far they are only tops.

Since the tops are/will be 1-7 - queen size; 8 and 9 lap size, 10 and 11 queen size and 12 will be lap size, I think if I gift a quilt, giving a decorator pillow that coordinates will be nice. Of course I can’t do it with all of them as I only have 4 pillows….and quite a few tops. But that’s okay.
