Beginning of May Charity quilting

Yes, once more, I put my other things on hold and stopped to quilt another 22 charity tops.

What I’m doing is 10 per month overall, but I’d like to finish by June, so I can be free from my obligation (my own goal - not established by anyone else) and then a makeup of 2 for January when I wasn’t here for half of the month.

I didn’t remember to take pictures of all the quilts, but here are some from that mini marathon.

Quite a few of these tops were donated by you all or someone brought them to my sis in the shop in Florida. Some were sent by Fran in Arizona, I believe, and some by Ewa and her mom here in Poland.

I’m relieved to know I have a bucket of bindings ready made. I’ve actually made a couple of extras now so that when I go to making more, I don’t need to make 120 more. I should do a few every week - it is so much easier than all at once.

You will eventually see these as they get trimmed, bound and washed, photographed and taken to the church building. Hopefully I can do it in a bit more timely manner than I did in April.

I hope to have a give-away again in November, so hopefully I won’t be running close to the give-away time, trying to finish up quilts. Last year I ran it way too close for my liking as I was still finishing them all up (bound, washed and photographed) in October, I think it was. Because I did that to myself last year, I was determined not to do it again this year, thus a more concrete goal of how many per month, etc.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
