I know...It was already an “almost finished” top - A Quilter's Cottage
But now it really is finished.
I hadn’t put on the rick rack to form the clothesline when I shared it before. That’s because I didn’t HAVE any rickrack.
No, I didn’t pick any up in Florida. I had bought some and it arrived here in Poland but I just hadn’t finished it up. I decided that it was time to take care of that little project.
I knew I was going to have to create some little holes in the seams and insert the little pieces, and then sew the seams back up again.
So, it did take me about an hour, maybe to put these pieces of white rick rack in their places and then sew the seams back up that I had had to open up in order to insert the white rick rack.
That was actually the hardest part of this project.
But now my quilt top is truly finished and I can go ahead and quilt it.
Once again - this is a pattern that we have at Quilted Twins. It is available here, and yes, it is a Lori Holt pattern. It went together reasonably quickly because those things were so large. For example, the house is large and so are the flowers.
There are lots of pictures in this book and complete instructions of what you need to make this top.
Check it out!
